With the recent release of new VCS Replication Agents, VERITAS has extended its vendor-independence concept further into the realm of data replication. In addition to accommodating the major server hardware and operating systems, VCS 4.X supports the industry?s most popular data replication schemes. While VCS had already included agents for a number of data replication techniques (including EMC SRDF, HP?s Continuous Access XP, Hitachi TrueCopy, NetApp SnapMirror, IBM PPRC, and VERITAS Volume Replicator) the newly added agents expand VCS?s data replication support to cover the majority of common solutions.
