Research Service Overview

Service Description

Ideas International's (IDEAS) Enterprise Servers Research and Advisory Service covers the range of servers from commodity platforms to specialized high-performance computing systems. This research program evaluates and compares technology and application-specific features of leading servers, appliances, racks, and blades. Analysis is provided at the systems level on the usability, manageability, deployment styles, and performance benchmarks of various vendors' server offerings. Our research examines such critical issues as the architectural strengths and weaknesses of leading vendors' products, tradeoffs in performance and price (including benchmark analysis), associated support and service offerings, server consolidation, workload management, and resource management.
