Research Service Overview
Service Description

Ideas International's (IDEAS) System Software Research and Advisory Service focuses on operating systems and related technologies including virtualization, resource management software, and 64-bit computing. As the primary mechanism for linking processors, storage systems, networks, and applications, operating systems play a central role in IT infrastructures. Users continue to face critical strategic choices for hosting workloads on Windows, Linux, or UNIX operating systems.

The Systems Software service analyzes the requirements for successful deployment decisions and compares and contrasts the strengths and weaknesses of leading vendors and their product offerings. Through objective assessments of these system software offerings (in light of current and emerging customer requirements), our research provides vendors and users with a better understanding of market directions and requirements.
